"Uncertainty is the beginning of learning." -Carol Kuhlthau My journey over the last year has been uncertain and turbulent, yet amazing. When I began working on my master's degree, I thought I'd be able to focus pretty easily. I had no idea that I'd need to adapt so much along the way as each of these things have happened within the last year:
As I reflect now in mid-July 2020, I am so grateful for all that I've learned through the Innovative Learning program and am so appreciative of Touro University and NapaLearns. Though I had no idea a year ago how crazy times would get, I am grateful for deeper understandings that have allowed the following to happen:
As educators across our state, country, and world are wrestling with how schools should or should not open in the fall (just over a month away), uncertainty is abundant. While preparing to teach U.S. History this next school year, I also see uncertainty in our society. This coming school year promises to be interesting. Yet, because of all I've learned in this program, I am better able to embrace the uncertainty of these times, be innovative in my next steps, and continue to optimistically move forward in education and life. Thank you!
